To be successful in the industry, a good realtor must possess a number of qualities in order to set themselves apart from other professionals. Jason Ewert realizes that all of the following assets are extremely important for potential clients when they are making a decision about who to work with.

Honesty

While it may be tempting to simply tell a client everything that they want to hear about their transaction, a realtor should always act in the best interests of their clients. As such, you should always be completely honest and prepared to tell clients what they need to know.

Creativity

The ability to be creative is extremely important for a realtor, especially if they handle issues like staging properties and arranging online listings. They should be capable of making the property look as attractive as possible to potential buyers, in addition to having the marketing acumen to draw interest from a variety of different sources.

Communication

It could be argued communication is the most important skill a realtor can possess. Not only does it help when speaking to clients, but the ability to communicate effectively will also be important during negotiations and when networking with other professionals. Jason Ewert encourages young professionals to focus on this quality as much as possible. He recommends attending events where you are likely to meet fellow professionals and engage them in conversation. It may even be worth your time to attend a few speaking classes in order to improve your levels of confidence when speaking.

Living in the Internet age, it has become easier than ever to find feedback about a realtor you may consider hiring. Jason Ewert encourages people to do their research before deciding on a realtor and has a number of tips on how to find proper reviews.

Ask For Testimonials

Anybody who works in the industry will have collected a number of client testimonials over time. One of the first things you should ask a realtor when you first meet them is whether or not they have a list of previous client testimonials they can provide to you.

Forums

When people feel like they have not gotten what they expect from working with a realtor, they will often take to forums to express their opinions. While researching these opinions can be a good way to counterbalance the positives from the realtor’s carefully selected testimonials, it is also important to remember they may not always be indicative of the professional’s full body of work.

Social Media

The likes of Facebook and LinkedIn have become exceptionally powerful tools for consumers, as they offer them the ability to conduct extra research. Check out the realtor’s Facebook page to see what sort of feedback they have, in addition to seeing what fellow professionals think about them on LinkedIn.

Word Of Mouth

If you are working with a local realtor, it is possible that you know somebody who has been a previous client. Jason Ewert believes the best way to research the qualities of someone is to speak to people you trust who experienced previous dealings with them.

It is important for any novice realtor to understand the real work starts when you have attained your qualifications and credentials. There are many things one needs to learn to become a success in the industry. Jason Ewert worked as a realtor since 1992 and had a number of tips for people who were starting out.

Jason Ewert

Be Honest

Honesty is always the best policy when it comes to real estate. Don’t try to mislead clients about any aspect of a transaction. Many people make the mistake of only trying to tell the client what they want to hear. It is important to talk about every aspect of a situation so clients have full understanding.

Communicate

If your clients don’t hear from you for weeks at a time, it won’t be long before they start looking for somebody who will make the effort to keep in touch with them. You should communicate with clients regularly in order to keep them up-to-date about their transaction.

Do Your Research

While much of what you learn about your local property market will come from experience, it doesn’t mean you stop conducting research. Find out the advantages of the area and what attracts buyers to it. Understand the demand for different types of properties and how this affects the client you are working with.

Network

A lot of realtors believe they are in direct competition with each other. Jason Ewert liked taking a friendlier approach to obtaining more leads. Think about networking with other realtors and staying in contact. There may come a time where they can help you out with a transaction or vice versa.

One of the first decisions one must make when looking to move into a new home is whether to rent or buy.  Jason Ewert helps many people make that initial decision and understands there are pros and cons associated with each.  Therefore it is important to consider your personal situation before making a choice. Here we’ll look at the advantages of renting.

Jason Ewert

Lower Initial Investment

To buy a house, one usually will be required to raise a security deposit that can be extremely costly.  For some, this takes years of saving before a move can be made.  With renting, this initial investment is much lower and often consists of a deposit and a month’s rent in advance.

Speed

If you need to move into a new home as quickly as possible, renting is much quicker than going through the many legal and financial issues associated with buying.  A home purchase can often take a number of months, which is not ideal when speed is of the essence.

Maintenance

If you own a home, you are responsible for everything it contains. This means if a vital feature fails, such as the heating system developing a fault, one will need to be prepared to pay for a repair. This is not an issue when renting, as maintenance should be taken care of by the landlord.

Of course, there are also some important disadvantages that are associated with renting.  Jason Ewert was always sure to go over these points with his clients in an effort that helped them towards making the right decision.

Real estate is an industry that can be very challenging, but very fun and rewarding as well. Real estate is often profitable to those who are savvy and hard-working. The main thing that separates a successful realtor from a failing one is the successful accumulation of information. One thing the digital age has taught us is the value of data and information. Now people pay for packets of data and statistics in order to give themselves a competitive edge in their industry. This data could include the general demographic and consensus of a neighborhood, the average income level of an area, and the general interests of an area. One can even use more tried and true data acquiring methods such as networking to other professionals in the area. There are even agencies that rate the livability of an area through a ranking system that uses factors that include air quality, traffic data, and home efficiency. This raw data is extremely useful in finding out the value of a home and the area it is located in.

Jason Ewert

The data is out there for those willing to look for it. In 2013 the National Association of Realtors released a information specifically designed to predict the value of a home over many years based on the analysis of the information gathered. Banks have been using techniques for years that provide a definitive value of a foreclosed home, something they consider when handing out house loans. These techniques can also be used by realtors to give them a competitive edge.

Jason Ewert was a real estate agent that emphasized using all data to one’s advantage.

An experienced realtor will tell you one of the best ways to get a competitive edge over others in the industry is to learn to sell properties based on the season. While this may seem like a strange concept considering home buying and selling is a year long affair, the fact is you can appeal to the present time and general ambiance of the season by enticing resistant buyers with a little “wow” factor. For example, selling in the summer requires a certain kind of technique that relies on small details to really drive the sale. Selling in the summer isn’t the ideal time to sell a home usually because it is very hot outside. A savvy realtor will use the heat to their advantage by appealing to the home’s ability to cool itself.

Selling by the season comes down to knowing the essence of the season and getting the house to represent that feeling. In the summer, you want to tone down the fact that it is hot outside. Heat makes people irritated and impatient which is a death sentence for a potential sale. You want to take the focus off the heat by keeping the home air conditioning on high. Don’t be afraid to chill the buyer, as they will be impressed with the unity. Also, decorate the house with cool colors that subtly relax the buyer.

Jason Ewert was a professional realtor who sold homes based on the season.

In the real estate world, many people focus on the selling side of the industry and neglect the less glamorous buying portion. However, the buying phase is just as key and perhaps even more important than the selling phase because it is here where potential profits are dictated. For instance, if you are able to grab a high-value home at a cheap cost because the person selling has undervalued the worth, it increases your potential profit margin by a considerable amount. When house hunting, make sure to examine everything and look for key angles and standout features that will become a marketable selling point later. Because of the raw volume of homes you are bound to look at, it is best to create a record and pro versus con list of each home to aid in the ultimate decision of which investment to make.

When house hunting, one of the most important things you can do is to take notes and familiarize yourself with each feature. While it is important to get as much information as you can, remember to work smarter not harder. This means you should not write down unnecessary or irrelevant facts about the home. Simply look for the key features, which one eventually learns are important after a bit of time and experience in real estate. Some realtors create a rating system from 1-10. This system helps create a tangible rank for each home that will aid in a final decision.

Jason Ewert was a professional realtor who said while house hunting one should always use a rating system.

For those entering the real estate business for the first time or for those seasoned realtors looking to gain an edge over the competition, there are certain tricks of the trade one can utilize to become better.  The thing about real estate is it can often be a volatile field – one that is directly affected by the state of the economy.  If people do not have the money, high-end purchases like homes and property suffer because of average income.  It is important to give yourself every competitive edge that exists if you want to survive.  One of the most important and overlooked aspects of real estate is paying attention to details.  While real estate seems like an industry primarily focused on the big picture, this is simply not the truth. The most successful realtors pay attention to small details.

If you are trying to sell a home, the little things can go a long way for pleasing or enticing a buyer.  The first thing you want to focus on is impressions of the home before the buyer even enters the house.  You should be making the front of the home immaculate.  Consider power-washing walkways and side paneling, trimming trees and foliage in the area, dealing with any trash, and perhaps even planting flowers or a garden.  All of these things make the perceived property value go up.

At the beginning of the New Year 1959, the 49th state of the United States became admitted as Alaska. She is named the last frontier for a reason. Alaska is a state that was originally a territory and had its history of turmoil. It is the last frontier of the Pacific Northwest and the continent of North America. Bordering neighbors are the territory of Yukon British Colombia and Russia. The state of Alaska is the largest in the union. The population of the state is just over 735,000. The main city is Anchorage, which is a metropolitan area populated by over 380,000 Alaskans. Life in Alaska is considered to be extreme as the winter is the longest in North America. There have been recording highs in temperature up to 100 back in 1915. Usually, it is very cold and freezing temperatures almost year round. It was not until the discoveries of certain resources that Alaska would be considered a territory worth purchasing. The United States realized its potential logging and fishing to be worth a 7.2 million dollar purchase from Russia in the year 1867. Since this time, being there have been major changes in the industries of Alaska. The discovery of various other resources that became extremely important after the industrial revolution brought a welcome change in the economy. Alaska would become the leading producer of oil in North America. Natural gas became another form of resource that to this very day is considered precious as well. Jason Ewert is an avid researcher of Alaska and its natural beauties.

On the coast of Florida is the beautiful city of Palm Bay. This city was established in the 1920s. Historically there have been businesses that were in the area since the 1850s. It was called Tillman for a great number of years before it was renamed. The area started going through many renovations and geographical changes. These changes occurred on the swampy lands on the west side of Palm Bay. This was the start of the Melbourne-Tillman Drainage District. The canals that were made brought control flooding and brought the marshlands to agricultural conditions for planting crops. Citrus groves would become prosperous as they would be able to provide winter produce up the East Coast to its many northern neighbors and all up along the Atlantic. The official incorporation of the city of Palm day was in 1960. The area has many touristic attractions such as the Indian River Lagoon or Turkey Creek. There is an abundance of golfing courses available. Another great attraction is the streams all around the area that make great kayaking possible. There are also social events such as the annual food truck wars that take place in May every year. It is the opportunity for the local community to get together and try over 40 different gourmet food trucks that come from various parts of the country. The top of the competition is fierce but friendly.
