Lower Initial Investment

To buy a house, one usually will be required to raise a security deposit that can be extremely costly.  For some, this takes years of saving before a move can be made.  With renting, this initial investment is much lower and often consists of a deposit and a month’s rent in advance.

Speed

If you need to move into a new home as quickly as possible, renting is much quicker than going through the many legal and financial issues associated with buying.  A home purchase can often take a number of months, which is not ideal when speed is of the essence.
